This webinar will cover the importance of professional development planning for prevention of burnout and career advancement.

Learning Objectives:

1. Following this session, the learner will be able to define and identify the differences between professional development planning, mentoring, coaching, training and the benefits of each.
2.  Following this session, the learner will be able to craft an effective professional development plan.
3. Following this session, the learner will be able to explain their own specific professional vision, goals, and immediate needs.
4. Following this session, the learner will understand strategies to reduce burnout through prioritizing life-work flow through the use of professional development planning as a framework.

This webinar will count for 1 Hour of CEU. 

Speakers: 

Dr. Rebekah Griffith PT, DPT, NCS, is a physical therapist who specializes in care in the Emergency Department and ICU settings. She believes that physical therapy should not be a luxury and should be accessible to everyone, particularly in life’s most critical moments. Dr. Griffith is the founder of the ED DPT, a business focused on making Emergency Physical Therapist practice well-known and well-practiced. She also serves her profession as APTA Colorado Chief Delegate. A believer in life-work flow, she is a dedicated mother of 3, wife of 22 years, an avid reader, writer, and photographer, and also holds a Black Belt in Taekwondo. Dr. Griffith firmly believes that we rise by lifting others, which is at the core of being a physical therapist and human.

Dr F Scott Feil is a husband, a father, a physical therapist, a professor, and most recently an amazon best-selling author. F Scott is also a business coach and mentor despite starting his journey as an English major before landing as a Physical Therapist. He is one of three co-hosts of the Healthcare Education Transformation Podcast which aims at breaking down the silos between healthcare professions and trying to find best practices in teaching and learning throughout healthcare academia. His goal is to help at least 222 professors (one from every PT School at the time of publication of his book) and clinicians pay off their student loans quicker by using multiple revenue streams.
