Candidate Statement

It is an honor to have been nominated to run for Secretary of the APTA Academy of Home Health. With my commitment to this outstanding profession, specifically in the Home Health post-acute care setting since 1989, and committee participation with the Home Health Academy since 2010, I am dedicated to paying it forward. We have had some exceptional leaders in our section over the years, and those who currently continue to guide us through these challenging times, to practice at the top of our license so we may strive to achieve the greatest outcomes for our patients through evidence-based medicine. My experience as a former Secretary for the Maryland National Capital Homecare Association aligns with this role for the Academy, and it would be a privilege to serve you on the executive committee. The responsibilities as an executive Director and Secretary are vital to ensure that the great work of our former leaders continues, and that together, we will continue to grow and evolve, providing the highest standard for Physical Therapy in the community setting. It is critical that we leave a strong foundation for all of our members and future leaders, and I appreciate the opportunity to serve you in this capacity.
