Susan Corriere, MSPT

Susan is running for Nominating Committee Member in the 2022 Elections. 

Suzy Corriere, MSPT has been a Physical Therapist for 24 years working the last 9 years at Johns Hopkins Homecare Group in a role as a PT III involving new staff precepting and development as well as direct patient care with the homebound geriatric population. In addition to patient care, Suzy serves as the Homecare group Champion for the Healthy at Hopkins program developing and advocating for programs to enhance staff resiliency and wellness, participates in the Sparkle Program to enhance patient engagement and serves on the Utilization review committee ensuring documentation compliance.   Prior to working at JHHCG, Suzy worked as an acute care and outpatient PT at St Agnes Hospital Catonsville, MD for 15 years and simultaneously held an adjunct faculty position at the University of Maryland Program in Physical Therapy assisting student labs and testing of clinical skills. 

She is a mother of four children and has been married for 24 years and is an avid baseball mom.  She is active in her church working in the college ministry program and enjoys running and has completed over ten marathons, a half ironman and numerous triathlons.  She enjoys sharing this passion for endurance sports with her patients who are running their own marathons to regain independence and the ability to leave their own homes.  

Candidate Statement

I would like to be more involved with APTA Home Health to increase membership and participation to ultimately enhance the lives of the population that we treat. I have attended the APTA CI credentialing course and received my CI certification through this program.
