Rebecca Williams, PT (Term starts immediately through CSM 2021)
Rapid City, MI

Biographical Statement
As acceptable to most new graduates 20ish years ago, I entered the world of orthopedics. At that time, I didn't have a favorable opinion of home care therapists. Very little was discussed in school or during my clinical rotations. Interestingly, I have met some of the most talented of therapists able to accommodate to varied environments and acute situations. They have influenced my decisions along the way and encouraged me to pursue advocacy for the profession and the section. Interestingly, many times we don't know where we are going to land. I certainly didn't have the end in sight when the journey began. Interestingly, I entered the world of home health after being a partner in a private practice and becoming a certified hand therapist. Using the knowledge both prior positions required, I have acquired skills to hone my communication and understanding of interdisciplinary relationships required with home health. I am eager to contribute to the HH Section and the profession.
